We accept all major credit cards, always in the driver’s name: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. For the deposit, only credit cards are accepted, not debit cards. Online payment can be made by card or through secure platforms.

You will need your valid driving licence, held for at least 1 year, your ID card or passport, and a credit card in the name of the main driver. We also recommend having your booking confirmation to hand.

When collecting the vehicle, a €300 deposit will be blocked on your card as a guarantee. This deposit is mandatory in all cases; there is no option to hire without leaving a deposit.

The amount will be refunded in full provided you meet these two conditions:

  • Return the vehicle with a full fuel tank.
  • Return it without dents, scratches or damage.

The hold is automatically released after the vehicle is returned without any issues.

Yes, we hand over the car with a full tank and you simply need to return it the same way. This way, you only pay for the fuel you actually use.

Yes, you can add additional drivers to your booking. The cost is €25 for each additional driver, applied only once to the total booking amount, not per day.

You can add them during the booking process or let us know when collecting the vehicle.

You can drive freely throughout mainland Spain.

It is not permitted to take the vehicle outside mainland Spain, including the Balearic Islands, Canary Islands, Ceuta, Melilla or any foreign country. The company is not responsible for any incidents, breakdowns, accidents or assistance if the vehicle leaves the authorised territory. The customer will be solely responsible for any consequences arising from this.

If you have booked through our website and wish to cancel your booking, please send an email to info@riocars.es with your booking number and the reason for cancellation.

More than 24 hours before the vehicle pick-up date and time – >Free of charge

Within 24 hours before the vehicle pick-up date and time -> NON-REFUNDABLE
